CHRONICLE OF A GREAT FRIEND
A sleepy town with its economy facing agriculture was in mourning , the news arrived a little distorted due to lack of correct information , some said that he died on the farm , the other on the track in an accident , we were shocked , and the craving for news phoned this city in search of a safe news . We were devastated , after we had lunch with him at the meeting of the Flag of Divine Taquari on the farm , was a tradition in the family since the days when his father was alive, they were keen to keep the tradition , talked about various subjects and between prose and other told him that there was a tradition we should eat all the food dish , reminding him that it was a promise and the person who made the party always asked the saints revered , health, money and peace, if you drop crumbs on the plate one of three things could miss that year , that he had not finished eating , continue until the last grain of rice on the plate and now he and his wife , me and Irenaeus sitting the shade of a tree , under a tent erected to accommodate the many friends that there were talking animatedly about various subjects , was thinking about it when I finished dressing me to go to the wake .
How sad ! I was always very objective and practical with respect to death, I regard death as a continuation of life , not as a sad thing, but his death left a void in us , what little we knew it was so favorable , and left us a brand friendship and respect for him his wife and son . And now we were heading for the last goodbye , we still had in mind that slim , elegant , smiling and helpful man with a Panama hat that looked quite good , leaving with a very nice appearance differentiating you from the others, this was the last image we have of him etched in our memory .
That sound coming from that huge room in the distance he could hear a cry restrained, the room was full of people , talking down the right side was being a gentleman veiled quite old and below are wreaths tampavam vision , we had to way through people until we got to the coffin . He with the white face characteristic of people who die , the thin face features well done we watched for a few seconds , but my attention turned toward a boy who was in the lap of a woman , and this boy never took his eyes from the face of the deceased for a moment he stroked his forehead , another time put her little hand on the nose , not crying , I was deep in thought and watched the people , I believe without see them , I think the pain of loss left him numb.
We went around around the coffin to greet his wife now widowed, she recognized us ready and crying thanked visit, hugged and left to let more people come to give the last farewell to our dear friend . Now passing through another funeral that Mr. decided to see it as it is in the same room divided only by wreaths , mourning families together two losses , Mr Mason was concerned , the Masonic Lodge of the city was represented by several people and wreaths on the body and it was the emblem of the Masonic Lodge of which he belonged . We left always complimenting either known , it was Saturday and the town was open trade because of the Christmas festivities , and the large amount of people at the funeral was something that increased our certainty of how much he was esteemed and respected in our region .
At that point only heard people murmuring , red eyes , hot tears that insists on running down her face , which looks like thinking , what actually happened , I see men , women chatting in a lower tone than usual , another arrives plus a warm hug between friends as if no longer wanted to shake that friend , hoping to comfort each other , others nodded with a slight smile contained , dodging wreaths arriving all the time .
We said goodbye well before burial , meaning that this moment belongs to family and very overwhelmed by the huge amount of cars , could leave the site and come back to our town. But the sorrow we felt when we persisted the gate of the site , and looked and saw the farmhouse , it seemed at first that those lands also kept the fight by its owner , something sad as that day had not existed .
This report is an homage they do a great honorable man who will never be forgotten by her .
